Oxford Open Learning is very pleased to announce that we have located a smart, modern examination centre, very conveniently situated, in a village just outside Aylesbury in Buckinghamshire.
The Kip McGrath Education Centre in Stone, is prepared to take students for all types of examinations and best of all, it is located above a chocolate factory! So, next summer, you will be able to calm your nerves before or after the exam with hot chocolate or coffee and an amazing range of chocolates and ice creams, which are all handmade in the same building.
The Kip McGrath centre is small (compared to most schools) and the staff are friendly and welcoming. There is an experienced examinations team who are able to offer an excellent service for a very reasonable price and they also offer a 10% discount for OOL/OHS students.
As well as all the usual exam facilities, they can provide for the use of lap tops, individual rooms for anyone with special needs, readers or writers for those who are allowed them and disabled facilities, including the option in some cases, of taking exams at home.
They offer examinations for all the subjects that OOL/OHS students require (currently with the exception of French and Spanish orals, although we are working on this) and in addition, they can also provide courses on Revision/ Examinations Technique. These will be invaluable to many students, particularly those who are home educated and have never experienced taking exams before. They provide small group, face to face tuition and exam practice under real examination conditions with advice and feedback afterwards.
The centre is located just off a main road with plenty of parking and with excellent transport links to Haddenham and Thame Parkway railway station. There is a frequent and quick rail service to both central London and Birmingham, as well as easy access to the M40 and a good local bus service.
