We want to ensure that you only enrol on courses that are suitable for you and each application is individually assessed by our admissions team. If you are applying for higher-level courses you will be expected to have previously obtained at minimum four GCSEs at Grade C and above or have relevant experience or an equivalent qualification. Some higher-level subjects require prior knowledge of the subject.
The Oxford Open Learning Trust reserves the right to decline any application to study without giving a reason.
It is your responsibility to ensure that you find an examination centre and enter for your exam in good time, but our Examinations Officer will give you all the help possible to organise this.
A complete Oxford Open Learning study pack in printed form and also in online form.

When we receive your application, your Student Adviser will contact you to finalise the details of course fees, delivery of the course materials, etc. Your Student Adviser will also agree examination dates with you. If, during your course, you need to change your proposed examination date, you must contact Oxford Open Learning as soon as possible. In most cases it is possible for students to defer, but this is always at the discretion of Oxford Open Learning and fees may be incurred.
You may cancel all or part of your programme of study at any time before you receive your course materials and you will receive a FULL REFUND of all amounts paid. During the first fourteen days after receiving your course materials you may cancel your course in writing and return the course materials to Oxford Open Learning at your own expense. Provided we receive the course materials in good condition you will receive a FULL REFUND of all amounts paid within twenty one days.
If you fail an A Level, GCSE or IGCSE course we will give you your money back. Our only conditions are that:
Note: a pass at A level is considered to be any grade between A and E, while a pass at GCSE or IGCSE is any grade between 9 and 4. The limit of Oxford Open Learning’s liability to any student under any circumstances will be the amount paid for that student’s course of study.
If paying by instalments please note that you have agreed (and are legally liable) to pay all instalments unless you cancel within 14 days of receiving your course materials.
