IGCSE Spanish

Syllabus

Oxford Open Learning’s Spanish IGCSE course is designed to prepare students for the Edexcel IGCSE in Spanish (4SP0) for examination in June 2012 or later years.

Assessment

Assessment is by two written examinations. Paper 1 (Listening) lasts 35 minutes and Paper 2 (Reading and Writing) lasts 1 hour 30 minutes.

Students can also be entered for the optional speaking examination. This speaking examination, Paper 3, will be assessed separately from Paper 1 and Paper 2. The grade awarded for this optional assessment will be reported separately on the student’s final certificate.

The OOL course is designed to match the Edexcel 4SP0 specification and comprises five modules, as follows:

• Modern life
• Speaking and listening skills

There is a also a separate CD designed to support your oral/aural practice.
