Results for the summer series are always available in August, usually on the third Thursday in August for A levels and the fourth Thursday for GCSE / IGCSE.

2016 summer exam results days will be as follows;

GCSE and IGCSE EXAM RESULTS DAY:  THURSDAY 25th AUGUST

A LEVEL EXAM RESULTS DAY : THURSDAY 18th AUGUST

Results are sent to your exam centre, not to Oxford Open Learning. You must either collect them in person or make alternative arrangements with your centre in advance (e.g. by stamped addressed envelope or email). Your centre cannot give you any results over the telephone.

Look carefully for a # or X sign on your results slip. If there is one, always ask your exam officer to check your final mark very carefully as it usually means that there is a problem.

If your result is disappointing do not panic and immediately start hassling your exam officer who will have hundreds of their own students to deal with. Ask for a time when you can discuss whether all is correct and no marks are missing. In the meantime, talk to your Student Adviser or the Exam Officer at Oxford Open Learning.

If, after consulting Oxford Open Learning you decide to query or contest a mark you should note that the rules regarding this are very strict and you only have a limited time in which to lodge your query. There will be a fee to pay. Full details of the procedure are given on the exam board websites, they usually put up a special “Enquiries about Results” page during July/August.
