Distance Learning History GCSE - The Course

Each lesson of the History GCSE course begins with a set of clearly stated objectives and an explanation of its place in the overall programme of study.

Effective learning is encouraged through frequent activities and self-assessment questions, and there is guidance for the preparation of coursework.

There are seven tutor-marked assignments and three practice exam papers. No previous knowledge of the subject is assumed or required.

The Syllabus

Our History GCSE course prepares students for AQA GCSE British Economic and Social History syllabus 3043, for exams in 2005 and later years. Assessment is by two written papers and coursework, all equally weighted. We have chosen this course as it is most suited to distance learning.

Practical Skills/ Coursework

Distance learning students are required to submit two pieces of coursework, one of which must be a local study.
